Vauxhall has just decided that the small Adam range of cars will be further expanded with an addition of a powerful VXR super-mini model and also drop-tops. What better time to consider a Non Status contract hire deal than to order one of these impressive new models. With credit issues being something of a stigma in this day and age why not approach a company that treats you with complete respect from start to finish and can actually do what they proclaim to do!While Vauxhall had only just started the production of the Adam, the big bosses are already getting impatient and are looking for new models to expand the range in 2014 and years to come. One such model is the high-performance VXR model. Another model would include a cabriolet which serves as a rival to the Fiat 500C.A return to motorsports also seems imminent with Vauxhall as they had just announced a rally-prepared version of the Adam. The Adam pictured above is the R2 model which is equipped with a turbocharged 1.4-liter engine outputting 140bhp. If you want to dabble in rallying, the R2 could be a very good starting point as it is quite affordable. The rally programme will also carry over to the roads with the VXR.
However, the VXR will not be getting the same 1.4-liter engine though. It gets an even better deal, a turbocharged 1.6-liter engine pumping 202 horses as seen in the Corsa VXR Nurburgring edition. With less than 6.5 seconds to hit 0-62mph, this will truly be a hot hatch for Non Status customers too.
As we mentioned earlier, the bosses are also planning to launch a cabriolet under the Adam umbrella. It will be unlike what you’ve seen before. Definitely not like the Citroen DS3 Cabrio or even the Fiat 500C. It would very likely come with a removable roof panel. It is designed to slot into where the panoramic glass roof is currently sitting and this would be a good way to enjoy topless driving while still keeping the costs low and structural rigidity intact.
The Adam will also be the first car to be 100% compatible with the iPhone Siri voice activation feature. As smart as the Siri is or even anyone else, the exact date for the launch of the hand-free feature is unknown but could very well be here within March and June 2013. Existing Adam owners can get this feature too by visiting their local dealer and getting a simple software upgrade.
