Two New Toyota Yaris Models from £11,695 to tempt Sub Prime customers of MSG Cars
The Toyota Yaris is about to get a whole lot better (as if that zippy little trustworthy car wasn’t good enough already). Toyota has just launched two new special editions of the frugal little car – the Yaris Edition and Yaris Trend and both should appeal to Sub Prime car finance customers who are looking to drive away in a brand new motor but don’t want to spend mortgage size payments each month. Both cars are now available in three-door bodystyle and a five-door for those who want things to be a little bit more practical.
The cars come with blacked-out C-pillars and also rear privacy glass. You can choose between contrasting Cirrus White or Tyrol Silver paint, which gives the car an illusion of the roof floating. The Yaris Edition is built upon the T2 trim level (an entry-level model) but rolls on 15” alloy wheels. Fog lamps adorn the bumper and rear privacy glass gives you a little bit more privacy so people don’t see your occupants eating chips in the car. The door handles are also colour-coded and a splash of chrome trimming on the exterior definitely wouldn’t hurt. The interior gets an updated speedometer and the gear knob is trimmed in lavish leather. Engine wise, the car gets a 1.0-liter petrol four-potter engine which outputs a mere 68bhp coupled with a five-speed manual transmission. Not powerful by any means but the Yaris was never made to go fast anyway.
If the Yaris is not powerful enough for you, the Yaris Trend which is based on the SR trim adds 30bhp more, with the 1.3-liter four-cylinder petrol engine outputting 98bhp. The engine is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox but the five-door version gets the option of CVT. The Trend comes with lowered suspension as standard with front foglights and a touchscreen infotainment system inside.
The price of the car definitely suits the lower budget market, with the price of the Yaris Edition starting from £11,695. The Yaris Trend is a tad more expensive with price starting from £13,795.
