Skoda will be releasing a new coupe model based on the VW Golf platform including Scirocco engines to power the vehicle. The three door sports hatch will be called the Joyster and will be out to rival vehicles including its Partner company produced Scirocco. As with the majority of Skoda models it key selling point will be its price but as with other models inlcuding those produced by Seat its unclear how much technology Volkswagen will allow Skoda to utilise. For those interested its likely to be available sooner than you think as its been mentioned that it should be out for the end of the year. Styling aspects of the Joyster include LED running lights fitted into the grille and power options such as 168 bhp TDI models and also a 158 bhp 1.4 TSI petrol. Petrol heads will be interested to note that a Hot vRS model is also likely to feature in the range with a 210 bhp turbo engine with 0-62 mph available in 6 seconds.
