Another car manufacturer looking to increase the number of units sold by 2012 is Seat and they expect an additional 10 per cent during 2011 and have lined up 4 brand new models for the following year. Seat bosses expect the extra models to be boosted by the sales of new options that include the Ibiza ST and Alhambra models that came out last year. We are also close to the launch of the all new Seat Leon model which will be a big seller, a totally new entry level car, 4 door sedan and face lifted Ibiza. Building upon the 320 thousand units retailed last year Seat look well placed to build upon recent successes. Seat will be responsible for building the Audi Q3 model at the Martorell factory and so are expecting an additional three hundred to eight hundred employees to be taken on full time. This all fits in nicely with parent group VW’S ambitions to be the worlds biggest car seller and should see Seat start to make a profit after a three hundred and eleven million euro loss last year.
