Free from American chains – Saab have celebrated with a number of new special models including this 9-3 Convertible called ironically the Independence Edition. The face-lifted model is painted in a special Amber Orange metallic paint and also includes 18 inch alloy wheels, leather interior, Carbon look trim and even an Orange trimmed steering wheel. Only one engine is available and in our opinion is the best of the lot in the form of the 1.9 Litre TTiD diesel with 180 bhp. Best get in quick though as only 366 of these bright coloured vehicles will roll down the production line and only 80 will cross the channel to the UK. At first glance this looks an impressive exclusive option for summertime driving please and certainly beats the Lime Green models released a number of years back.
