The new Saab 9-4X crossover model will be shown at the LA Motor show in November and could be the once troubled Swedish manufacturers entry into the lucrative US SUV market. The impressive new model is actually built in the same factory in Mexico as the Cadillac SRX and uses the same basic platform but Saab have ensured that it Carry’s the company branding well. UK sales will be several months after the 9-4X launches in the States – possibly late in 2011 and it will have only one engine available which is the 296bhp 2.8 V6 petrol with six speed gearbox setup. For those potential customers interested in awaiting for the Diesel version there is no fixed date as yet as Saab looks to concentrate on the Yank market with the scarcity of Diesel powered vehicles over there.
