Before the Mini Cooper S and the Renaultsport Clio were winning all the plaudits for the supermini range there was the original hot hatch from Renault and this was the Clio Williams model. Hold onto your hats though as Renault have announced that they will be relaunching the model once again and all it takes in our eyes is the colour combination of Williams Clio Blue and Gold wheels to get us excited! If there was ever a colour to be associated with a performance car then this is the hot hatch equivalent. What other car can claim this feat? This comes hot on the heels of the news that Renault will once again have a tie up with Williams to supply its engines to the F1 team. Renault have assured that this wont simply be a publicity exercise as they don’t wish to dilute the Willilams brand with a luck warm offering. Indications show that the new generation model will be here for 2012 so the likely hood will be that the final edition of the Clio Renaultsport 200 will be treated to the honor of resurecting the badge.
