In the motoring world you can always be guaranteed of one fact and that’s new performance cars will always get more power and be quicker that their predecessors. It may come as no shock to hear that BMW’s latest M6 model will be the companies most powerful offering yet with 552bhp and it will be available in both a coupe and convertible offering. BMW have made sure that its 4.4 litre V8 with its twin turbo charger can rocket the M6 to 189mph top speed and hopefully helps justify the £93,795 price tag. By fitting the Turbo set up on the engine as opposed to the previous models 5.0 litre V10 BMW have gained 52bhp and the car can now shift to 62mph in 4.2 seconds. As with the M5 model the BMW M6 has its power directed to the rear wheels by the M Division active differential and even though it now weighs in an extra 50Kg it has economy figures of 28.5mpg. Visually the M6 model gets the typical revised bumpers and aprons as you would expect and this means more cooling at the front end along with quad exhausts at the rear along with some 19 inch alloy wheels. An interesting option that has been offered for the first time is the carbon ceramic brake discs with 6 piston and single piston callipers with gold finish.
