Porsche have stated that they will bring out a new model to fit below the Boxster model in the range line up. Billed as being a modern day version of the legendary ‘James Dean’ 550 Spyder model. The build platform for this new super Porsche is though to be in collaboration with Audi – using the R4 roadster platform and will be a mid engined offering. As the Boxster model is due to increase in size and weight as seemingly every other model in the world does – the new Porsche will be priced from £35,000. The same power plant as found in the Boxster will be used namely the four cylinder 2.5 litre with turbo charger added to give an impressive 360bhp.
