Along with its more familiar stable mates the VW Jetta has been around for several decades now and so Volkswagen have now launched the latest – sixth generation version. The new Jetta was first displayed in New York at a Times Square unveiling and VW were showing off at the Allianz arena in Munich. The Jettas design follows on with the current theme of having similar front end styling for the Golf, Polo, Passat and Sharan options. Unlike other new models with many manufacturers every panel has been changed and so it has a completely fresh look yet manages to retain plenty of the VW DNA to make it recognisable straight away. The line up from the launch will have four engines available – 2 different 1.4 litre TSI engines and two diesel versions. Expect the latest VW Jetta to be on sale at the start of 2011 and pricing and specifications will be released closer to the time.
