Hondas stunning new Hybrid car – the Honda CR-Z is already being lined up for special treatment in the form of a 1.6 litre VTEC turbo pushing out over 200bhp. The ultra modern looking vehicle is fitted with only 125bhp as standard which many small hatch users would find inadequate for fun and games on the countries B roads. Combined with a CVT auto box this has left the CR-Z looking a little lost with all looks and no action. In the vein of previous hot hatch models such as the Type R range the CR-Z will be fitted with the VTEC variable camshaft engine that will give the user the option of either a 160bhp engine or 200 bhp CR-Z Type R. With the loss of the original 2.0 VTEC previously fitted in the performance models this could well be the light at the end of the tunnel.
