Ferrari have announced a new in car technology that monitors a drivers mental and physical state adjusting areas such as the cars stability and traction set ups to suit the driver. A number of sensors at key positions will give the car the information on the driver that it requires to make these decisions. Ideas for what this will include are biometric sensors to monitor factors such as the drivers respiration, blood pressure, heart rate, eye blink rate, skin temperature and level of perspiration. The general idea is that these factors will improve driver safety but could be adapted to give on the fly adjustments to the cars dynamics.
